About me….
Music is powerful. At times it is my terapi.
When a singer’s voice makes me FEEL something, it is inspirational.
There are some songs that do just this:
I'm Just Ken sung by Ryan Gosling. He sings, "No one knows how hard I try,... I have feelings that I can't explain. Driving me insane" Then I laugh when he sings, "and I am great at doing stuff". Being American, I strive to be the best or an expert, but that is stressful and an incredibly difficult task. I am always learning.
Lead singer of Chicago’s heavy metal band, Disturbed: David Draiman gives me meaningful shivers every time. Disturb’s version of Simon & Garfunkel’s The Sound of Silence exemplifies deep soul searching. David’s voice gives a deeper meaning to the words, “Hello darkness, my old friend, I’ve come to talk with you again.”
“In restless dreams I’ve walked alone - narrow streets of cobblestone.”
The depth of Rammstein’s sound and Till Lindemann’s voice I also FEEL in Keine Lust and Du Hast.
Based on Mandy Harvey’s life experience with losing her hearing, yet wanting to be a singer, she found a way to move forward. She could feel the vibration of the music in order to become a singer. Sound is felt. It is a feeling.
